Crypto Founder Loses Bid to Halt IRS Summons for His Bank Info

The Fifth Circuit doesn’t have jurisdiction to consider whether a cryptocurrency executive should be able to quash IRS summons to his banks.

Rowland Andrade and his ABTC Corp. had appealed a decision from the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas to deny the motion to quash summons targeting his Chase Bank and Bank of America accounts. That court decision “was not a final, appealable order,” and therefore, the US Circuit Court for the Fifth Circuit doesn’t have jurisdiction to disturb that appeal, a panel of judges said in dismissing the appeal.
