Hamster Kombat’s HMSTR token launch and airdrop are coming on September 26, and the hit Telegram game’s players—over 300 million, as claimed in July—are surely eager to get their crypto reward for months of tapping and building up their hamster-run crypto exchanges.

But Hamster Kombat is more than just a crypto exchange simulator, and the developers have been continually adding new ways to earn towards the airdrop. And one such recent addition, the Hexa Puzzle mini-game, not only stands out as a lightly entertaining and chill puzzler, but also perhaps the fastest way to stack in-game coins right now.

How to play Hexa Puzzle

Simply tap the “Playground” menu at the bottom of the screen, then hit the “Minigames” on the resulting screen. There you’ll find the icon for Hexa Puzzle, and Hamster Kombat will show you a simple overview of the game before it begins. Unlike games on the “Games” screen, Hexa Puzzle runs right within the Telegram mini app.

Hexa Puzzle takes place on a simple hex grid, and tasks you with matching like-colored tiles to clear them from the screen. You’ll do so by dragging and dropping tile piles onto the board, and when like-colored tiles are on adjacent spots, they’ll automatically combine.

The challenge comes with piles that have different colors stacked up. To clear those, you’ll need to use like-colored stacks in adjacent spots to essentially split them up, as only single-color stacks will be cleared from the screen once they meet a certain height threshold. Once cleared, you’ll earn coins that will ultimately go towards your Hamster Kombat total.

Your Hexa Puzzle board can get awfully crowded pretty quickly if you’re not smart about where you’re placing new stacks, but it’s not a difficult or especially demanding game, and players who are familiar with the puzzle genre should get a hang of things within a few minutes.

How much can you earn?

Your experience may vary, but after getting a hang of the gameplay and getting up my speed a bit, I was able to earn millions of coins with ease. In fact, I timed myself playing for five minutes from the start, and ended up with 3.5 million coins in that span.

For my money, this is the fastest way to rack up coins ahead of the airdrop, and it’s a lot more pleasant than simply tapping the main screen.
